Team Registration for the Lottery NOW OPEN!

What you need to know...

LEAGUE DATES:  This year the league will only run for four (4) consecutive Sundays in January (January 5, 12, 19 & 26).
Teams will play 2 matches on all 4 Sundays.

LEAGUE TIMES:  All games will be played between 8:00 am - 4:45 pm

LOCATION:  All games will be played at the Saville Community Sports Centre - West (GO Sports)

COST: $247.62 / Team + GST = $260.00 (Fees will be collected after the lottery draw)

DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR THE LOTTERY DRAW:  Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10:00 pm

LOTTERY DRAW & REGISTRATION DETAILS:
 - All teams who submit a Lottery Draw Registration will be entered into the Draw which will take place by Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
- Teams are only permitted to enter one (1) registration and any teams found to have submitted two or more registrations for the draw will be disqualified.

  • Philosophy & Purpose of this Exhibition Volleyball League

The general philosophy of this league is to allow teams to develop their team play prior to the pressure of the Volleyball Alberta Premier Events. This should free up regular practice time for the development of skills. As such the intent is that it will be relatively low key, more in the tone of controlled scrimmages. In the same vein and to keep costs down there will be no regularly scheduled officials and the competing teams will share that responsibility. However, Volleyball Alberta may on occasion provide developing officials, but they too will be instructed to maintain this low pressure environment. Finally, while the score will be tracked using flip score cards no score sheet will be kept and there will be no league standings.
